Due the closure of FTCSC, the Weekly Cadence will not be updated until school resumes. We wish health and safety to our entire FC Bands Family.

ALL BAND & GUARD FAMILIES - Food Contributions for WGI Event on Saturday, March 14 & Sunday, March 15 & VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Franklin Central will host the WGI two-day event on Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15. WE NEED YOUR HELP to provide food for the students and the many volunteers in the Volunteer Hospitality room. All Guard and Band families are asked to contribute. Here are the instructions of what you are asked to provide. Please note the Volunteer Hospitality is in the Auxiliary Gym! If you have questions, please contact Angie Sears at angela.r.sears@hotmail.com.

We also still need MANY volunteers for this event to be successful - sign up to volunteer here.

Two Important Meetings This Week

Tuesday March 10th @ 7:30pm - Band Parent Meeting to vote on proposed bylaws amendments. A vote will be taken to approve changes to the Band Booster Bylaws that were presented in February. Click here to see the details. Must be present to vote.
Wednesday March 11th @ 7pm - Disney Trip meeting in the Band Room

Upcoming Performances

FCPS Competes at FC for WGI Regional - Mar. 14 and 15
The Franklin Central Percussion Symphony will perform their show "in blue" and is tentatively scheduled to take the floor at 5:03pm on Saturday, March 14. Hopefully you will already be at the school since you are volunteering! If not, make sure you arrive early as the gym will be very full. If FC advances, they will also compete on Sunday at a time TBD. The itinerary will be posted when available.

Varsity Guard at WGI Mid-East Power Regional - Saturday, Mar. 14
Varsity Guard will compete in the WGI Mid-East Power Regional Competition on Saturday, March 14 @ Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Ohio; and on Sunday, March 15 @ at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky. The itinerary will be posted when available.

JV Guard at IHSCGA Semi-State - Saturday, Mar. 14
JV Guard will compete at the IHSCGA Semi-State competition on Saturday, March 14 @ Decatur Central. JV is tentatively scheduled to perform at 12:59pm. The itinerary will be posted when available.

The March Spirit Night is at Red Cactus. Dine at Red Cactus on Monday, March 9 from 11a-10pm, show the flyer, and the FC Bands program will receive a portion of your purchase! This is great way to earn money for the band but also support our local business partners!

There will be a meeting regarding the lodging for the Dayton trip on Tuesday, March 3 at 6pm.

Volunteers Needed for Color Guard event THIS WEEKEND!
Franklin Central has the privilege of hosting two more events this Spring - the Indiana High School Color Guard Association (IHSCGA) on March 7; and Winter Guard International (WGI) on March 14-15. The Color Guard event is still in desperate need of volunteers who can stay for the entire shift.

Disney Parade Rehearsals
Mandatory practices will continue every Friday for students marching in the Disney parade. Here are the remaining practice dates and times:

The Varsity Guard will compete in the IHSCGA competition at Center Grove HS. Here is the itinerary for Saturday.

FCPS Competes at Perry Meridian - Sat., Mar. 7
The Franklin Central Percussion Symphony will perform their show "in blue" at this IPA event hosted by Perry Meridian. FCPS is tentatively scheduled to take the floor at 8:50 pm. You can see the entire season schedule here.
