Senior Parent Photos with the Banners – Thursday, August 27 at 7pm
Senior Parents, we want to capture these special moments. We will be gathering at the senior banners in the northwest corner of the stadium for individual and group photos of the parents with the banners on Thursday, August 27 at 7pm. This is not required, but strongly encouraged to show support for our seniors.
Please Join Us for Family Night at the Stadium
Thursday, August 27 at 8:00pm will be our first "Family Night at the Stadium". This is a great opportunity for families that are not able to attend the football games to see the show performed. This will be the first of many Thursday night practices open to band families. Please remember to wear a mask, avoid the red strips of tape while sitting in the stands and stay seated as a family.

Senior Night -September 4th
Senior Night is Friday, September 4.  Parents please make plans to arrive at Gate 4 on the southeast corner of the stadium at 6:30pm.  The seniors and their parents will walk from the side of the track to the 50-yard line and be recognized by the spectators.  Right now, we need to know the names of the parents and escorts that will walk with the senior during the ceremony.  REQUIRED: Please click this link to provide the names: https://forms.gle/9DoiTUeBJ5jQZYqq7
Pregame Dinner - Friday, September 4
We will be serving the students Sloppy Joes with chips and mac and cheese before the football game.  Please let our food lead, Danelle Grimes dcva896@yahoo.com,  know if there are any dietary concerns.  Our volunteers will be following safety protocols defined by school food services.  Food will be placed on plates by volunteers with clean hands wearing gloves and a mask.  Students will drink from their water jugs.  This meal is only for students.  Parents may also drop off food for their student at 5:30pm if desired.

We need 10 volunteers to serve food.  Food donations include Sloppy Joe, Mac and Cheese, Buns, Chips and Desserts.
Click the link to volunteer or donate food: https://t.ly/5syM
Order Spirit Buttons
We are ready for spirit button orders!  This is a keepsake button of your student.  Without masks, hats or sunglasses we finally know what these kids look like!  Each family receives one free button per student.  Additional buttons are $2 and we will offer a show themed button for $2.  Please click the link to download and print the order form.  Return the money and order form in a plastic bag to the white box outside of the band office.  You can also turn in money at the Thursday Family Night. Click Here

Football Tickets
Friday night come cheer on the Marching Flashes and the Football Flashes as we host Perry Meridian.  Tickets for the game can be purchased here:  https://gofan.co/app/school/IN840
It is vitally important that if you purchase tickets, you intend to stay for the entire football game. If you are there just to see the band performance, please simply come to our Thursday night preview performance on Thursday, 8/27 at 8pm. We are lucky that we can perform as long as we have a field. The football team needs another football team to "perform" so let's make sure tickets are available to their fans (which may include you!). All subsequent Thursday evening rehearsals will have a performance aspect to the them from 8-8:30pm. Again, if you buy tickets, stay for the game, please.

Note that the band will begin marching to the stadium from the school at Door 3W at 6:40pm.  This is a great time for proud parents to take photos and video of this tradition, especially during “The Year of the Mask”.
Swag Orders
Your swag order will be available for pick up on Friday, August 21, 5pm – 7pm at Door 3W.   We still need a few people to help with handing out the orders.  Click here to sign up: https://bit.ly/3iP4FBB

Show Shirts and Button Photos
We will be passing out show shirts to students during the Thursday, August 20 practice.  We will also be taking photos of the students wearing their new shirt to be used in the spirit buttons.  Again, this will happen during the practice. Students will be dismissed by section to fetch the shirt and have the photo taken.

Every family will receive one free spirit button.  We will give students the spirit button and an order form to purchase additional buttons for $2 each.  This will happen in the coming weeks.  Every mom needs a spirit button!

Marching Band Uniforms
This past week a wonderful group of volunteers washed all of the marching uniforms.  The uniforms are now ready for the 2021 marching season, but we need a uniform lead.  We need someone or a group of people to take ownership of the uniforms and transition Amy Scott’s knowledge while she is still around.  Even if you only want to help with part of this position, it will help us fill the need.  Please let me know if you are interested.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
