Hi Band Families!
Here's your opportunity to get up to speed before the awards ceremony and Friday's football game.

​Immediate Volunteer Opportunity – Concessions!

​Tonight, September 30, the band is working the concession stand for the soccer game at the stadium.  We need adult and student volunteers 5:00pm to 8:30pm.  A portion of the money earned will benefit the band program and you’ll have fun!  To volunteer Click Here.

​Thursday, October 1 Practice and Awards Schedule

The schedule on Thursday will be impacted by parent/teacher conferences and the marching band awards ceremony.
  • 6:00pm – Practice Starts
  • 7:30pm – Stadium will open to the band (a great time for parents to grab a seat in the stands)
  • 8:00pm – Final run of the show followed by the awards
 
The awards ceremony will include:
  • Recognition of boosters, staff and volunteers
  • Awards to exceptional students
  • Senior recognition
  • Fun stories

​Pregame Meal – Friday, October 2

​We will be serving a nacho bar on Friday night.  We still need servers and food donations.  Sign up now!

Family Night at the Stadium

Please join us on Thursday, September 24 at 8:00pm for "Family Night at the Stadium". This is a great opportunity for families that are not able to attend the football games to see the show performed. This informal show happens every Thursday night during practices and is open to band families. Please remember to wear a mask and observe physical distancing while sitting in the stands like any event in the stadium. Do not sit on the red tape and stay together as a family.
This week, we have invited the 8th grade band students to attend the practice from the stands. During a normal Homecoming, the 8th graders would spend time with the high school band before the football game, then perform the fight song with the band on the field. Inviting the students to the practice is the best experience we can offer at this time.

We will be serving the students Hot Dogs before the football game.  Please let our food lead, Danelle Grimes dcva896@yahoo.com,  know if there are any dietary concerns. Our volunteers will be following safety protocols defined by school food services.  Food will be placed on plates by volunteers with clean hands wearing gloves and a mask.  Students will drink from their water jugs.  This meal is only for students.  Parents may also drop off food for their student at 5:30pm if desired.
 
We need 10 volunteers to serve food.  Food donations include buns, condiments, vegetables and Desserts. Click Here to volunteer or donate food

Senior Banner Parent Photos – Thursday, September 3 at 7pm
Senior Parents will gather at the senior banners in the northwest corner of the stadium for a group photo on Thursday, September 3 at 7pm.  The photo shoot will conclude at 7:15pm to allow parents to take seats at the stadium.  This is not required, but strongly encouraged to show support for our seniors.

Football Game Performance – Friday, September 4
The band will perform the fight song in the pregame.  The band will play during the game and perform their show at halftime.  The game is sold out.
