Click here to sign up for a shift at BOA Grand Nationals at Lucas Oil Stadium. Spots are filling up quickly! Holiday Craft Fair on Nov. 23 - Volunteers Needed! Our 1st annual craft fair is Saturday, November 23. The proceeds will go towards our new band trailer. It takes a lot of volunteers to accommodate over 100 vendors, food concessions, event day activities, and our customers. Your participation is critical in making this event a success. We need adult volunteers on both Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23. You will receive free admission to the craft fair when you volunteer for one or more shifts. A small portion of your purchase will be donated to the Band.This is FREE MONEY for the band! You must register your Kroger card every year. Ask your friends and family to register their cards - it adds up!
HousekeepingBand Accounts As a reminder, students with overdue Band Booster account balances will not be allowed to participate in winter guard or indoor percussion activities. Additionally, students with overdue balances at the end of December will also not be allowed to attend the trip in March to Disney. Please reach out to treasurer@fcbands.org or evan.cooper@ftcsc.org for more information or concerns. Constant communication is imperative for any exceptions to be made. Pep Band is coming in November! The FC Pep Band starts in November and is a great opportunity to play fun music with friends and be part of the action at boy's and girl's basketball games. This activity is open to all band students and is quite inexpensive. You'll be given a jersey with your graduation year on the back. There were 8 games last year that began after Thanksgiving and continued into February. That's only about 2 games per month, a very low time commitment. PIZZA is served at halftime. Fundraising Trash Bag Fundraiser - Ends Monday, Oct. 21 The Trash Bag Fundraiser is underway, and orders are due Monday, October 21. We expect delivery to be the week of October 28. Trash bags cost $10 per roll and the student will receive a deposit into their band account for each roll of trash bags sold. The amount students earn will be based on the total number of trash bags sold - the more we sell, the bigger the profit. Visit the Trash Bag Fundraiser Page for all the information. Trailer Donations Update The trailer donation drive continues to accept your donations. If the band has your email address, we have sent a donation email to you at least twice; the email includes your student's photo. Please forward this email to your friends and family who may be interested in helping the band. If you would like for us to contact your friends and family, please print this form - fill out the form and have your child place it in the white box outside of the band room. Senior Night Information Announcements/intros for the seniors and parents will be before pregame performance, beginning at 6:40. Parents and seniors need to be lined up on the track by the east end zone by 6:30pm. The Marching Flashes will march over to the stadium from the Annex at 6:20pm.
BOA Super Regional at Lucas Oil Stadium - Friday, Oct. 25 Your FC Marching Flashes will be competing on the biggest stage, under the lights in Lucas Oil Stadium! This will be a two-day event with FC performing early on Friday. Students will have an excused absence from 2nd and 4th periods that day. If they make the top 10, they will perform again on Saturday. More information to come in the next Weekly Cadence! ISSMA Regional at Center Grove - Saturday, Oct. 19 It's Fall Break! No competition this week. Our next performance will be at Center Grove High School for the ISSMA Regional on October 19. The top 10 teams from this event will move on to Semi-State at Ben Davis High School. More details to come in the next Weekly Cadence.
