Mark your Calendar for the Three Events FC is Hosting in 2020 FC is hosting three events in 2020 and YOUR help is needed! Save the Dates - February 15; March 7; and March 14-15. More information will be coming soon about volunteer opportunities. Hosting these events is a great opportunity for FC to show off how amazing we are, and also helps bring in significant funding that benefits all of our students and helps keep all of our participation fees lower. Mark your calendar! Fundraising Last Chance to Purchase Ornaments - Tuesday! The last chance to purchase ornaments and get credit for your student account is at the Concert on Tuesday, December 17. The credit for selling ornaments will appear on the Jan. account statement. Thank you everyone who sold and purchased these works of art. Here is a great video about this fundraiser. Upcoming Performances Sounds of the Season - Few Seats Remain There are still a few seats available at the Thursday, 7pm and Saturday, 2:30pm performances. Don't have a student in the show? No problem! SOS makes for a great date night. This is the best of Franklin Central's performing arts department. Few seats remain - order now! Winter Band Concert - Tuesday, Dec. 17 Our Winter Band Concert will feature FC's Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony ensembles. The concert will begin at 7pm in the Robert Mason Auditorium (call time for performers is 6:30pm). A required rehearsal for Concert and Symphonic Bands, along with Percussion Class, will be held Monday, December 16, 3-5pm. Mark your calendars and please plan accordingly! Questions? An excellent buffet-style lunch will be served. Tickets are $32 each, and performers are free. Purchase tickets here. Your emailed receipt will be your entrance ticket. Or, send your friends and family to buy ornaments at the Sounds of the Season performances and you'll receive credit for the sale (be sure they mention your student's name)! Housekeeping We would like to thank all of the volunteers that helped make our 1st Annual Holiday Craft Fair a success! We raised $14,643 (net) in ONE day! That would not have been possible without your help! We value your dedication and commitment! Together we are making a difference! Upcoming Performances Side-by-Side Concert - Tuesday, Dec. 3 Don't miss this annual concert featuring the FC Wind Symphony along with the concert bands from Middle Schools East and West! Performances begin at 6:30 Tuesday evening in the Robert Mason Auditorium. Parent help is needed to help feed 250 students and staff before the concert. Housekeeping Items New Scrips Code - for New Accounts Only! If you are signing up for a new Scrips account, please reach out to Amanda Groce for the code - we are having spammers trying to access our account, so please include your student's name in the email when you request the code. If you have an existing Scrips account, you do not need to do anything - your account will still work and accrue money for your student band account. Learn how you can use Scrips to earn money for your students' band account. Marching Band Fees should be Paid in Full & First Payment is Due Now for Winter Band Opportunities Parents - At this time, all Marching Band fees should be paid in full. If you have not paid your 2019 MB fees, please contact Becky Richardson to make payment arrangements. Also, Winter Guard and Indoor fees have been added to those students participating. Refer to your Financial Agreement for the amount. Go here for payment methods including online payments. You will be receiving a statement this week from CutTime. If you do not receive a statement, please make sure we have your email address on file in CutTime. Using CutTime will allow up-to-date access to your account balance. Winter Band Opportunities Winter Guard - Paperwork Due Monday, Dec. 2 Congratulations to the students who were named to Varsity and JV Winter Guard! There are many new guard members from marching band winds. All paperwork is due on Monday, December 2 and can be found on the FC Winter Guard web page. Note that Varsity and JV Guard have separate practice and competition schedules which can found on the FC Winter Guard web page or on the FC Bands Calendar. IPA Clinic Day - Dec. 7, 9a-4p Make plans to attend the 2019 IPA Clinic Day! Learn from and listen to some of the best percussionists across the nation.
