What if Marching Band is Cancelled?
What happens if is the marching season is cancelled due to the pandemic? What happens to my payments to marching band?
From Mr. Cooper:
We will proceed as if business, instruction, learning, and competing will be as usual until advised otherwise from our school administration or ISSMA (Indiana State School Music Association). We will be sure to delay as many payments and costly projects as long as possible while still remaining well prepared for the season. If the season is unfortunately cancelled at any point in time, we will stop any costs associated with the season. Any costs incurred up until that point (music arrangement, drill design, guard uniforms, gloves, instruction, etc.) will be added up, divided equally by the number of members, and a new "fee" will be assigned to each member based on the cost to that date. This may mean that some student accounts paid in full may be refunded/credited and some accounts may still owe a balance, again, all dependent on the timing of the cancellation. The marching band staff will be well notified that their expected pay may end if the season is cancelled.
