Here is everything you need to know about the Franklin Central Band program right now.

To everyone that volunteered in the last 12 weeks, you have made a positive impact on this marching band season.  This week likely concludes our season with the possibility of performing at a football sectional if our stadium is selected to host a game.  Enjoy your fall break and see you at “Family Night at the Spooky Stadium” on Thursday.
 

• Group photos will be handed out at band class.  Color guard, we will find you during practice.
• ‘Any Way the Wind Blows’ show patches are being handed out in band class.  There are extra patches that can be purchased for $6.  Contact Travis.
• Extra short sleeve show shirts are available in all sizes. The price is reduced to $15. Contact Travis.

Concessions Volunteers Needed

​FCBands has been invited to run concessions this Fall break for the boys soccer sectionals at the stadium. This is an excellent fundraising opportunity! The band will receive 80% of the profits. We need adult or student volunteers to run concessions during the following times:

• Wednesday, October 7th - 4:00pm to 8:30pm  - Adult Lead is Needed
• Saturday, October 10th - 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Family Night at the Spooky Stadium

​Please join us on Thursday, October 8 at 8:00pm for "Family Night at the Spooky Stadium".  This is the final opportunity for families that are not able to attend the football games to see the show performed. Students are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes that do not interfere with their practice and performing.  This is a tradition for the last marching band practice before Halloween.  Unfortunately, the last practice of this marching season arrives 3 weeks early due to Covid-19.  Parents can dress up too!   

Pregame Dinner - Friday, October 9

​On Friday, we will serve CHILI of every variety before the football game.  Please let our food lead, Danelle Grimes dcva896@yahoo.com,  know if there are any dietary concerns. Our volunteers will be following safety protocols defined by school food services.  Food will be placed on plates by volunteers with clean hands wearing gloves and a mask.  Students will drink from their water jugs.  This meal is only for students.  Parents may also drop off food for their student at 5:30pm if desired.

Football Game Performance - October 9

3:30-5:30pm Practice
5:30pm - Eat
6:40pm - March to the Stadium
6:55pm - Pre-game
Halftime – Perform “Any Way the Wind Blows”
10:00pm – Dismissal
*The band will play during the game

Thursday: 3:00pm-8:30pm (Percussion); 5:30pm-8:30pm (Winds and Guard)

To register for Color Guard auditions for this winter season Click Here.
 
Current and new students that are interested in Winter Guard should register at the link above and attend the auditions on October 20, 22, 27, & 29th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the Franklin Central auxiliary gym. Auditions are open to current and new students at FCHS and 7th and 8th graders. Come check out the AWARD-WINNING PROGRAM and see if it is right for you! No experience necessary.
