Sept 16 Midweek Marching Band Update

​​The Midweek Update is meant to prepare band families for the busy days ahead: Competition at Dayton, Homecoming parade and Bandcoming.  As always, if you have any marching band questions, please let me know.

The band will be performing at 2:45pm on September 18th at Welcome Stadium at the University of Dayton.

• Practice starts at 7:00am
• Loading Buses at 10:00am
• Prelim Tickets:$23 Adults, $20 Students/Seniors, FREE Children 0-10yrs
• Finals Tickets :$23 Adults, $20 Students/Seniors, FREE Children 0-10yrs
• Day Pass:$36 Adults, $33 Students/Seniors, FREE Children 0-10yrs 
• Band Performs at 2:45pm
• Snacks and Dinner provided by the Band Boosters
• Do Not Bring Bags/purses to the venue.  Only clear bags are allowed.  See the guidelines below.
• If we advance to the Finals, the buses will return to the school at about 1:30am.  Text alerts will be sent giving a better ETA.  See instructions for text alerts below.

Guard Spirit Buttons

The guard will have their entire show uniform and accessories this week, so we are ready to take spirit button photos. All guard members will need to be “show ready” for the pictures.  This includes uniform, makeup, and hair.

Button Details: Each student will receive 1 personalized button (included in band fees). Each additional button is $3 or you can purchase two for $5. We are currently offering two buttons. The first option is a personalized button with your student and the second option is of the current show theme. Purchase a button for the entire family and save one for the memory book!

Thursday Preview

Please remember that you are welcome to join us at the stadium every Thursday evening around 8pm to see the latest version of the band's show, I Am The Storm.

Mark Your Calendar

Homecoming Parade - September 23rd
Thursday September 23 at 6pm in Downtown Wanamaker

Students will ride a bus to and from the parade site. This event is for all winds, drumline, and guard members. Front Ensemble members will have normally scheduled practice from 5:30pm-8:30pm.

Bandcoming - September 26th
Come join us for an evening of dancing, music, snacks and fun!

The Spirit Committee is selling Bandcoming tickets this week and next.  $10 each for all Marching Band and Guard students.   
Thurs 9/16: 5-5:30 (before rehearsal) and 8-8:30 (after rehearsal and after band meeting)
Fri 9/17:  6-6:30 (after rehearsal)
